i doubt it. that's like me taking a turbo charger for the spec-v sentra se-r and expect it to fit on my 2.5s altima. they are the same exact engine. but there's just alot of differences between em (engine bay size, mounting issues, ecu, etc.).
but the old saying, if you spend enough man hours and money on it, you can make anything fit anywhere.
well... the 3.5L v-6 thats in the coupe... is also in the 350Z right?
so could a supercharger kit from the 350Z work on the coupe as well??
im thinking this because it is more beneficial for the motor, and safer for it 2.
and if this is possible... will the CVT transmission be able to hold that much more power?
i would like to know everyone elses opinion here...
have ever seen your engine bay? an ant would feel cluttered up there. and then why a supercharger?, there is a turbo kit comming out in january, and its gonna be worth 450WHP.
superchargers are more beneficial for v-6s and v-8s...

450? Seems like a lot (approx. 500 flywheel hp)...doesn't seem likely to almost double the power...but as usual correct me if I am wrong.

it is very true, artisan performance dynoed at 447 at the front wheels, they told me this in email resonse when i asked when its coming out, i think the charts will be online as soon as their site finally launches
but no one has still commented on the CVT being able to handle any kind of power gain...
anybody technical enough to answer this question???
i think it might with ecu management. but what u should be actaully concerned about is the engine, i dont think the pistons can handle all that extra power when the engine is redlined. i think you might need some forged pistons, becuase the manual as you know dont stay redlined when floored.
yea but i do know that wen i test drive the CVT ones... the computer is actually programmed to shift into the next gear if redlined automatically... just on the top end i can't be able to hold close to it... even though the cvt has a 6th gear that shouldn't be a problem...
Major problem with having that much HP on an FWD is actually getting the power to the ground. With the power we're making now, it's almost impossible to get away from the line without burning the rubber off the tires. How you gonna do it with half again more HP and torque? An Altima with 12 inch slicks on the front would look really getto IMHO. 3rd gen Altimas can use the old LSD from some of the Maximas, but I really don't think one would fit your trans. and driveline.

I'm really anxious to see what is involved in turbo charging the coupe. This thread has really tilted my decision toward the altima (vs. mazdaspeed3). Subscribed!
