People need to get real as there are only about 10 turbo'd altimas on the planet, it obviously not going well in the development stage. A year ago there was so much crap being said about kits right around the corner, where the hell are they???? If it was soooo awsome they would be rich selling these turbo kits. Who the hell wants turbo lag, no reliability,no traction, poor MPG,no warranty, and >5K missing from your bank account?? I mean how much "showing off" can you do with a common everyday car? It feels so gay here sometimes.

i totally agree with you.....whats the point of doing this to a regular car like this, if you want to do alot of mods

1. Go buy a MT and stop being a vag....lol

2. Go buy a more mod friendly car.

You can always use 5k on the altima and make it a show car by looks, youd get all that "ooooohhhh ahhhh factor" from everyone and it would be from looks not a turbo....try that

matt, what I've noticed around these boards ever since I signed up, it seems that people like to know the options is there for them, but they never actually do it. You get threads like this one come up every now and then, people get all excited, they feel better knowing they could do it if they wanted to, but never do.
*sigh*

this is true they seem to be like that on the other forum too.....but i got kicked off that one lol "shit happens". But it seems on this forum there are alot less people and they don't talk about the same thing. On the other one there sems to be alot of newb ?'s that have been answered a million times.....i mean on there now theres like 3 questions on tinting....the only reasonable ? on tinting should be hey do u know a good place in this area not what kind of tint % is legal here....i mean do people ever use gogle lol....i just wish i had a car that was more mod friendly bc then i would hav more fun with it. all the mods out don't really do much to the car and if you do em all itll run u like 5k plus if you want a turbo itll be another 5k which is stupid mine as well go buy a wrx or something thats more powerful/mod friendly

There are more than ten of us. lol
As I stated in my post above, I agree - it's really not worth the unreliability if that is something you think you will forever maintain. However, i'm NOT going back to NA. I make positive pressure at about 3500 rpm, get better MPG than before, and my car was never truly 100% reliable to begin with.

It makes sense that there is little interest, because there are few supporters. There are many who do big talk on this website don't put in the big effort, time, r&d, money, etc. So... i'm really not disagreeing with anyone but I just wanted to throw that out there. I get tired of reading these promising turbo threads that never have a follow up or resolve. If you guys wanna see some innovation, check out the guy with the DIY custom turbo 3.5 that's pretty recent, or the guy with the s/c 3.5. Props to them. Another member on here has a beast still being worked on that will probably destroy any Altima, ever.

^ And lastly, I fell in love with boost. She pulls hard... really hard. Like, I get tingling sensations as the gauge approaches 9psi.

lol wow you just crushed the scene right now...

but anyway those 3rd gen altimas are the SHITTTTTTT ill tell u why because u could mod the fuzzle out of them and they pwn the 07+ isnt that great...

but none the less i had both the 3rd gen and the 4th gen and both 2.5 and both same hp/tq and well the 3rd gen is faster because of weight im assuming?
im pretty sure the same goes for the 3.5 / SE-R model mmm...lol

and all the 07+ 3.5 needs is I/H/E & chip and say goodnight and you have a everyday car in the same time that will keep people away from there anxiety attacks

Sounds real good when you say it but do not turbo the CVT. It has already failed once and most likely will fail again. It will take a long time , if ever, for someone to work out a properly functioning turbo for the CVT.

Just save a little more money and buy something that comes faster stock or spend a much lower amount of money and do some smaller and cheaper mods that will work with your car. The turbo to me just seems unrealistic for the CVT specially since the main thing, other than the accleration gain, that I like with the turbo idea is the BOV and with the CVT the BOV basically becomes obsolete and only work when you let off the gas which defeats the purpose.

1. What the **** are you talking about? I cannont honestly understand the previous 2 posts.. 2. If you a driver looking for real performance (were talking about adding a turbo here) then options are not important! You have to question your logic when you turn a $20K car into a $30K car because of options that you know damn well you don't need. I don't care how much you spend on a G37 it will ALWAYS be worth more than an altima that someone played mechanical engineer on! Resale/driveability/durability/reliability/safety/efficency/BALANCE. A g has all of those an altima will have none.

I love it when you guys ruin these threads.
Recurring trend - someone talks about big plans for their car, gets flamed and doesn't do it.

I think you have it mixed up. They get flamed because the trend is ... they never do it.
