i read in another post that there is an auto lock feature...if you leave your car and not lock it, it will lock automatically? i might have to try this out. would i lose this too? i just bought the car, so i guess losing that stuff is not a huge deal.
wow, what a noob i feel like...is there a quick disconnect on the battery? or do i need to remove a nut or something?
a little off topic...if anyone knows a lot about HIDs and installing them can you shoot me a pm? i am guessing the battery needs to be disconnected for this too right? i am thinking about doing this, but not too sure if i want to take the plunge.
if you have an '09 then you have the auto-lock feature, and i cant help you there. the easiest way to disconnect the battery is to remove the nut and take the connector off the terminal.
just do a search about HIDs.....theres 100s of threads about them in here.

depends what lights you're trying to change. but i agree with bina, safer to disconnect, otherwise you risk blowing a fuse. if you're trying to change your dome, map and license plate lights, those can be changed since those lights can be turned off. but the door courtesey, vanity and trunk light are on if you want to try to change them.
and you definately want to disconnect your batter if you want to do an HID swap. and you shouldn't worry about doing it either, it's not hard. HID was my very fist mod, ever, on any car. there's lots of help and support on the forums if you run into any trouble.

ideally i want to do the HID, but i am just worried about the warranty because i still have a lot left on it. i dont want them to give me any crap if i have a problem.
there are no LED low beams for our cars. if you're really worried, don't upgrade them. but like i said, if you want to get hid's and don't want to worry about warranty, then get a relay harness, it will take away any risk of any damage to your factory harness. the power will be drawn directly from you battery to your lights through the relay harness.
can you suggest a good set of HIDS with the harness? i found some on ebay for like $60 shipped. this about right? i guess i could just put the old ones in there if i need to take it in and none will be the wiser.
I did the whole V-LED thing (even got V-HID bulbs for my DDM kit) and i got the 194 5LED bulbs, and i was in the drive in the other night and realised that my car was off, but my dome/map/and door sill lights were very very dimly illuminated. i shut the power off to my map lights, and dome, but obv cant to the door sills. are any of u guys havin this problem too?? and what should I do if its constantly on/drawing power?
