Bose system is def good. Not the best... but really good. I used to drive 05 Altima 3.5SE with sport package which didnt include bose system. I liked it. It sounded good!

Now I'm driving 08 A/C 3.5SE with premium package that comes with bose. I noticed the difference right away. I heard the difference in clarity and also filling sound b/c of extra speakers.

Then.... I drove one of my relative's Lexus RX330 with Mark Levinson system.... oh man... that system blows BOSE out of water. I mean yes... it lacked some bass but I could say same about almost every factory system out there for cars around 20k to 30k.

Anyway... in my opinion... BOSE is good~. Not the best but above average I guess.

I don't think it's really Bose but the 9-Speakers.

I noticed the difference and couldn't stand the typical 4-speakers set up.

I will upgrade but it's last on the list.

I just traded in my '03 Altima SE for an '07 Altima SE last week - both had the high end Bose. I'm surprised and disappointed that the '07 doesn't sound better.

The '03 had much deeper bass and would rock the car, but the '07 has much clearer mids and highs (accoustic guitar sounds like it's live in the car). But I really miss the bass as I listen to a lot of rock (Linkin Park, etc doesn't sound as good).

Any recommendations of a not too expensive sub that's not too big that works well with our cars??

it's a good system, but you can always replace with a 2 din and put in subs
