Hi all, I was just wondering if the Bose system is as bad as what I've read on the web. I just really wanted leather and I dont really want to tear up my new car to install a good sound system so i sprung for the premium package.
Also does the headunit 6 disc changer still have a jamming issue?
i love the system. the high and mid range are great and crystal clear. the bass dept is where i am left flat. thats why i am going to be adding a sub/amp in the coming months. i have had zero problems with cd jamming. dont know if the changer is different for navi and non navi altis.
While it might lack a little bass, it's plenty good for most people's audio liking...When the 07's first came out, someone on here took their car to a car audio shop and they hooked up all the sound test equipment to their car to test the sound imaging on the Bose system and the guy at the shop said it had some of the best mid and high range sound imaging that he had ever seen in a stock car audio system...he said it just needed a 10 or 12" sub to fill out the low end and thats all the installed for the guy...
I agree with it having great mids and highs...I listen to some of my music and I hear sounds I had never previously heard on other systems..
The biggest problem I have with my Bose with Nav is when I have some hard hitting bass going, my sunglasses rattle in the sunglass holder in the roof console...so yeah, no complaints with the Bose system here...Sounded much better than the Mach460 system that was in the Mustang I used to have...

Good info, I might want to install a 10" sub but the trunk size is pretty small....also how hard is the install of just the Sub, would you need to tear up stuff to wire it up?
I have an old JL 500watt mono amp and cap from my old system.
ya sometime ill be upgrading a bit.... well... completely, till then bose is awesome. my brother said my old mercedes sounded better but... thats also a $40k car.
I am pretty sure mercedes also has bose system..I think the main reason they sound better is that they have a much better sound dampening than the altima..
Just picked it up today, the low end is lacking but it is great for an original system in a car. I really want to put in a sub, have an old 500/1 JL amp but my brother said if i hook it up by splicing the Bose wires and running a live wire from the battery it might sound muddy, not sure if thats the base but I dont really feel like tearing up my brand new car.
Anyone have any pictures of a 2009 coupe with bose and an added sub/amp by tapping into bose wires? Really want to see if its clean and as easy as it sounds.
Thanks,
Richard

you could always just have a shop do it professionally and while at it upgrade speakers.... i mean there fine for me but some people love to go deaf....
what car was it that had the $10k audio system i forget... ridiculous like u really wanna go deaf and broke at the same time... i mean if u can afford the 300k for the car hey not gonna hurt u financially but jeeeeese.... overkill.
just dont be one of those guys where everytime the base goes ur trunk rattles lol
