Question Maxima Questions???

I currently drive a 2007 2.5S Altima and I am considering the new 2009 Maxima, a beautiful car. But I wanted to know if the interior noise level is quieter than the Altima. This is my one main gripe with the Altima is the interior road noise and wind noise is to high while driving on the highway. And several different people complain about it while driving with me so I know it is not just me who hears this.

Also the available navigation system on the new Maxima since it is hard drive based how do you upgrade the maps on the system? Do you have to take it to the dealer to have the maps upgraded for you navigation system?

The options packages for the car is really confusing and it is hard to tell with the Nissan online build configurator. Is it possible to get the Maxima with the color info screen without having to get the navigation option package. I really don't like the large black and orange info screen you get on the less equipped models. It would make more sense to me to just have a color info screen for all the models since it is their flagship sedan.

I am there with you on the upgrade to the max. I have 2008 loaded 3.5SE and am considering the SV premium. To your questions, you can get the colored screen on the premium without navigation. With regard to noise, I have test driven the car 3 times so far and it is very quiet. It is no Lexus though. lol.

Thanks for the info.
So the premium package without Nav will have the color screen. That color info screen really should be standard on the SV trim level. I can see not having it on the base model S. Well I can't wait until my lease is up 6 months from now.

You are welcome. I totally agree with you as I have hated the orange monochrome displays from day one. Makes the care look like an old GM vehicle. I cant wait to sell my car and now wish I did lease so I could walk away but couldnt do it for another 2 years. The good and bad of leasing. Best of luck to you.
