The front seat is a well know problem among 09 owners. Take it to the dealer and tell them about it. They will have to replace the frame assembly. Nissan needs to issue a recall but since it is only a nuisance and doesn't effect safety, they won't.

I mentioned it to my dealer and he went on about it's a known problem but can't do anything about it?!?! I was like WTF.

I have an '08 Coupe 3.5SE.

I've been busy to leave my car with them.

My dad is having the same problem with his 09 maxima seats. And he is a pretty big guy so it's probably worse for him.

He already took it to the dealer and they replaced the seat frame rails. But the seat was actually LOOSE when he first brought it in.

Now they fixed it and it just flexes, but he's going to go back to the dealer to complain again.

Problem with with the suspension is the struts vibrate they know about it and they are working on a fix.

Go to the dealer and let them know so when they get the fix they will notify you so you can come in and have it repaired.

07-09 altimas also have an issue with seats moving front to back AND side to side so i guess since Maxima is a diffent (higher) class car it only goes front to back LOL

They did come out with tsb for Altimas so if it's a common issue for Maximas i'd assume there will be one as well.

^haha, i shouldn't really say he spent $40K, i don't think they are that expensive and he's only leasing it because he wants to have the ability to buy his REAL car that he'll have the rest of his life you know?

But still, the friggin seat shouldn't move, thats ridiculous.

^so the tsb just says replace the seat frame with a new one?

The dealer did that for my dad and the seat still rocks.

Although they replaced the "rails" not sure if that is the same as the seat frame (adjuster assembly) that the tsb refers it as
