New Fluids

The 2013 requires new transmission and power steering fluids. The 4th generation uses "NS-2" for its CVT and Dextron AT fluid for its power steering booster. It would be a good idea to find out what these fluids cost and what the service intervals are before committing to the car - "NS-2" is $15 ~ $20 per quart!

CVT, p. 8-13, 9-2:

● Use only Genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-3. Do not mix with other fluids.
● Using transmission fluid other than Genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-3 will damage the CVT, which is not covered by the warranty.

Power Steering Fluid, p. 8-14, 9-2:

● Use of a power steering fluid other than Genuine NISSAN E-PSF will prevent the power steering system from operating properly.

EDIT: I found a couple of places that sell NS-3 for about $15 per quart:

I couldn't find any specific information about Nissan's "E-PSF" power steering fluid. Toyota has an electro-hydraulic power steering booster in the MR2 and its power steering fluid is $48 per bottle at one vendor:

Toyota Power Steering Fluid - EH, Twos R Us

Explanation of electro-hydraulic power steering:

That site doesn't have the 2013 Navigation Guide posted yet, just up to the 2012.

So all the models look to come with projector type headlight beam, but only the 3.5SL has HID, all the rest are standard H11 halogen bulbs.

Yeah, I saw the same video. But looking at the manual again, it does show it on page 2-6 for the rearview mirror. Also page 3-34 says Type A without compass, and Type B with compass. So I guess some will not have the compass on the dimming mirror.

Starting on page 2-16 it talks about what is shown on the main LCD, but doesn't mention compass. I wonder if it will only be there on models with navigation?

Got to test drive a 2.5 SV and SL today. The SV has the regular non-dimming mirror, and the SL has the dimming mirror with homelink and compass. Neither one came with the navigation system, and the main LCD did NOT show the compass. So only if the car has the navigation system, will it show that and the compass in the main instrument cluster LCD.

Nissan-Techinfo changed the file name of the English version and added a French version:

English Printing June 2012 (03): http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/refgh...tima-Sedan.pdf

The previously-posted English version was Printing May 2012 (01).

They must of just added the 2013 to the site, as it wasn't there a few weeks ago.
They also list the Navigation Manual which someone was looking for earlier.
