Very easy just pop the emblems off carefully with a small metal scraper or something, and rub the glue off with your finger when your done debadging.
thats gotta be the worst way to do that possible, noob advice. heat the adhesive behind the emblem with a heat gun or hair dryer and work floss behind it to take it off from the paint. googone or just a wash should do the trick to remove the rest of the adhesive since ur car is new.

looks awesome, may have to do that next but then ill be tempted to do everything that is chrome on the car....lol. Do you have hid bulbs in the headlights and fog lights?
noob advice? sorry for adding my 2 cents trying to help people do a quick diy mod thats cheap and easy. I rather use my finger and soapy water than googone on my new cars paint job, but hey thats just me. You dont like the advice then dont use it, like i said worked for me and no scratches. It was acutally done by my girls father who owns a body shop for 20+ years, he laughed when i told him i want to do it using floss and a heat gun (which is how i was about to do it), went out there and did it in 2 minutes with me.
its not about the removing adhesive with ur fingers that im worried about, its using the metal scraper to remove the badges. i dont care how long ur gf's dad has been doing it that way, it doesnt mean its the right way. i get that ur trying to help, but using a metal scraper on paint is just stupid. i dont want someone to follow ur method and end up damaging the paint. metal scraper on paint, or floss on paint, which do u think is the safer way to do it? not a hard question.

yeah you have to be careful, but you pop them off with the scraper towards the emblem not against the car...all tape remains on car pretty much the scraper didnt touch the body at all. but thats why i had him do it not me but your right, but i still wouldnt use goo gone.
yeah, i didnt use googone either, u only really need that if ur car is older n the badges have been on there for a long time. i just rolled it off with my fingers too.

Your gf Dad is teaching dangerous methods to people who may not have the delicate touch needed if you want to debadge. His method is going to make someone really screw up their paint job following his lead. This means for 20+ years he's been doing it wrong
nobody is bashing you, we are just disagreeing with ur gf's dads methods, thats is all. u already said u planned on doing it the way we said anyways, its ur gf's dad that is using the wrong way.
