What is the top black piece in the last photo? It is also partially shown in the middle photo. The reason I ask is that I found a piece that looks almost exactlly like it on the floor of my wife's car today.

I was wondering where it came from and she does have a HomeLink mirror in her Toyota.

It covers the wires next to your windshield, it just snaps back on.

See the two notches on top of the piece with the broken glass?
The piece you found snaps into that and the other end (on the left in the last pic) wedges under the headliner.
It is designed to be expandable for different cars.
