Trunk light order destined for Louisiana is done and shipping tomorrow. There is another for what I would call just north of San Diego leaving as well.
Guys...In all the orders I put out, there is a piece of paper that says to email me for instructions, which are in a PDF format. Please do so. Even though the trunk light is very simple to install, it does not hurt to have them. I typically get back to inquiries for instructions within minutes, and I have all of the manuals on my mobile phone as well.
One of the biggest things, and I need to change my directions, is that the strips are not put onto the wires randomly...they are done so in an opposing fashion so that the wiring will form the trunk of a 'Y' when properly installed. This allows the wiring to lay flatter and not be twisted.

Hello,
I've just placed an order for this and would really appreciate if you can send me the instructions to PM. Thanks
I know...I was being a smartass. I am up in the Mt. Vernon area...bring the car and a six pack, and the kit and install are on me.
Any chance you will be up in Canada soon? (specifically London, Ontario....?? haha).
I want to change a bunch of the lighting in my Altima. Just got an HID kit for my day time running lights that I ordered in today and I'm a bit hesitant into installing it myself as I have no previous experience with any of this kind of stuff.
Hey, I wish you had kept them. I hate basketball and it jams up the downtown area everytime they play a home game. They also pre-empt my talk radio station.

Hi, I'm the just north of San Diego one, I'll PM you my email for the instructions. What carrier do you use to ship these out? I just had the basic default shipping.

Replied to your PM, but I will here as well for the benefit of others...
I use USPS First Class for all of my shipments, and that does include tracking as well (except Canada). I have found that items get to just about anywhere in the US in 2-3 days.
Tracking numbers are supposed to come through from Racingline when they do their daily updates to tell you that the order has shipped. There have been a few glitches in their email system lately, and I have not been getting the ones that I am supposed to get to tell me that there is a new order, but he is working on that. So other portions of that system may be affected right now as well.
I seem to be on the ball right now and have not had much going on in the evenings the last week or so, so orders are getting out quickly. I do build EVERYTHING by hand and on a per order basis, so there is not a massive box of things sitting around. I do occasionally eff up and forget to order something before I run out, or just get really busy for a few days that will cause for delays. It happens...this is more of a hobby for me and I do work a regular job as well. I also have a life, wife, 2 kids, and all that goes along with that. So if your order does not ship for a few days at some point, please remember all of the above...LOL
OK...First off, this is an unfinished trunk light. Normally the heat shrink covers the ends of the sleeving.
Where the strips are mounted was my first initial thought. Where the 2 yellow lines are could also be used on that angled ridge in the back. The hole in the underside of the rear deck with the yellow oval designates the center point of the rear deck...the OE trunk light is slightly off center as it has been in other generations of the car. I have gone back and forth on including them over the last year and will make a commitment to do so in all going forward, but where that red box is would be a great location for a zip tie mount to tuck the wiring up securely...so all new ones will have the mount and a 4" zip tie. If you ordered one in the last couple days, let me know via pm and I will send you one to complete the install.
Philly, Wes, Topdawg...yours should have the zip tie and mount.
This pic shows that the existing trunk light fixture is not compromised in any way. The cover can and will close over the wiring for the new trunk lights.

Nice. I'd actually be interested in one. Is that the only place that sells it.
RL's LED trunk kit is actually a lot better quality than others. I've bought a couple of others from local vendors and had to throw them away as the flexible LEDs only lasted a couple of months even though they were stuck on a flat surface...probably made in china or something.
The RL LED trunk kit hasn't gone out yet and I've had it for about 8 months now

Thanks for the endorsement gameguru. The trunk light that started it all (my car) is still going strong after 3+ years.
Just thought I would share these from tonight. A friend's 2006 Altima with an LED bulb in the factory housing. Not a terribly great bulb, and this is just the automatic setting on my digital camera...no night mode or anything.
And using the same settings on the camera after the new trunk light was installed.
