Guys...from experience, I will say that it is VERY hard to photograph light output. Don't take my word for it, ask these guys that have installed the light...the difference is literally night and day(pun intended)
I thought my pics (I was the "anonymous" guy BT posted pics for) came out pretty good - I was using a Canon point & shoot (SD1300 IS), and set the controls to "manual" (which isn't really manual, but does give you some control over a few settings). I set ISO to 400, turned the flash off, and set exposure compensation to -1 stop. For the pics of the light strip, I turned the flash to "auto" (to get fill flash, otherwise you would see the light strip against a black void). I believe I still left exposure compensation set to -1.

Yours is one of the best pics I have seen of a trunk light. Very much shows what it truly looks like. Most pics get a little over/under exposed and are not true representations.

^^ That's my trunk and I have to say that as nice as that pic looks, the pictures do not do justice to the quality of the light output. Every corner of the trunk is well lit in addition to a decent sized patch of ground outside the car :-) This is a very nice upgrade and VERY simple to install. Two thumbs up and big thanks to BT!

Sort of off topic, but still in the trunk

OK fellas, does anyone know what the small black block is behind the amplifier in the first set of pics in this thread? I have it with my non-Bose model as well, and it seems to have speaker wires running to it. I'm planning on mounting an amp and sub in my trunk soon, so I'd like to know what this is.
Picture below with "thing" in red circle:

Thanks!

Installed mine this weekend and love it. Even though I rarely use my trunk this upgrade is worth it. The light output is incredible and it just looks really nice. Thanks BT!

Recommended Purchase

I have completed the install of my Trunk Kit.
As can be seen below the light output is a significant change.
Stock lighting barely illuminates the rear of the trunk but the kit gives full lighting throughout and very evenly dispersed.
The kit is extremely easy to install and took about 10min.
The kit is well made and all the housing is of high quality and built to last.
Highly recommended.

I have my footwell kit ordered and coming soon. Will update with a post once that is installed as well.

Stock Photo

Kit installed, same settings on camera and in same position

Increased exposure and ISO, similar to what you would actually see.
