Red light and speed cameras

I'm pretty sure I found the proper files for red light and speed cameras on the net. They were in csv format and I loaded them into the nav system. Once they are loaded, will they automatically show up on the nav screen when I'm driving, or do I have to choose them in my places before I start driving?

Can you post the location of the site? Might have others out here interested in the same information.

I have tested a few of my POI that I loaded in the system. I setup to alert for 5 miles distance but didn't see any alerts. Guess i missed something.

While its a cool thing to have, be safe out there and treat all intersections as having a camera. Don't push the lights.

I just sent you a PM, but seems as though you found what you were looking for. Once loaded, they will show up all the time, and depending on the settings you have may or may not make a beep sound when approaching the lights. The pop-up window will show up even when not viewing the nav screen, like if you have up the radio screen or xm. The popup will come on normally a few hundred feet before the light and go away just after you pass it.

There are 2 directories in the systsem. One is user destination POI that you can select as destination and nav to. The other one is warning poi. If you upload the file in the "warning poi" directory, you will get warning when the car is approaching that point. In the Tech Package Nav, you need to enable the warning in the settings though. You can also set how advance the warning is given by distance.
