How to: 2013 Altima Cabin Air Filter

I saw no one had any information yet on how to change a cabin air filter on a 2013 Altima SL so I took some pics today while changing it. The pics explain most of the work. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Difficulty - Easy/intermediate

Nice... I was able to do mine without removing the glove box but I hurt myself. I'll remove the glove box next time !

Same setup as the 4th gens.

I'll hold off putting this in the FAQ until after we get more comments in case there are questions

Seems like there was an extra trim part to the right of the glove box on the 4th gen you had to remove to get the box off.

I don't recall taking another piece off when I did mine, but That's just going off memory

Judging from the picture, I would say yes. It needs to come off.

Bad judgement call. Right piece doesn't need to come off in order to take the glove box out.

Once to you take out all the screws, pull the glove box straight towards the seat.

Nice job on the photos and directions, but if you can maneuver in the space it's not necessary to remove the glove box.

I removed mine in minute without any tools, just reached under, released the cover, and pulled it out. I watched the dealer do it the same way while I waited, took less time then the paper work took to print. They didn't even pull the car out of the receiving bay to do it. It was done by itself because when I had the other stuff done (free service contract from my pre-order) they were out of the cabin filters.

I'd be worried removing the glove box too many times may cause rattles.
Here is my post on filter removal:
