110 MPH in the Altima, 125 in a Forumila, 120 in a Turbo Miata. Most scared, 100 in a Triumph Spitfire, felt like it was going to fly apart! Faster on a bike...
I can neither confirm nor deny whether this may have or never happened on a public road, but I may have had my SE-R at 145 once. If I did, that may or may not have been when the underside engine splash guard decided to eject itself at that particular speed, being demolished and scattered into about 10 pieces.
That may or may not have happened. And that may or may not be why I haven't had the car at that speed since then... :squint:
95 in Altima 135 in Lexus IS300... I just got the Altima and am honestly a little hesitant to drive over 100 in it.. Not used to the size and soft suspension. Scary lol
I was an idiot along side a bmw 750. Hit 119 MPH according to my GPS highest speed. Road was clear, but I'll never be that stupid again. This was a number of years ago.
My 2015 Altima only has 200 miles on it, so I want to keep from dogging it until it is well broken in. My highest speed so far was about 85 mph - and that was totally unintentional. The car is so damn smooth - especially with the CVT - and I did not even realize it.
My last Nissan (which I still own) is a 2002 Nissan Sentra that I bought new 13 years ago. Quite a difference going from a 1.8L engine and a five-speed manual to a 2.5L with a CVT.
I have driven about 140 mph in an older Mustang GT with a 5.0L V8, but have not driven nearly that fast in recent years. I RODE AS A PASSENGER in my friend's late model Corvette two years ago - and we went well above 140 mph......in FOURTH gear!
Love your quote!
California drivers love to drive in the fast lane even if they want to go slower then the lane to their right!
When you enter Oregan from CA there is a huge sign stating it is unlawful to travel in the left lane except when passing.
Not a altima but a 2014.5 Camry SE V6 hit 133 mph. Car felt like it could've went faster but I ran out of road. Going to compare it with my cousin 2014 altima V6 this weekend
