Anyone ever had any experience with them? My friend has an 03 elcipse and her dad changed the spark plugs, while he was drunk, and didnt put the plug wires back on right. This caused a misfire and an SES light so they take it to a "mechanic" who charges $35 just to hook up an obd and needless to say they get nothing done there. So finally they take it to the dealer who tells them its $95 for diagnostics testing. Dealer calls back saying the throttle body has too much carbon build up which is causing the misfire, there goes another $80. A day later the ses is still on and all they did was corectly plug in the spark wires. Grand total for a spark plug job $250. I called the dealership yesterday as I was on my way over there in her car to send some heads rollin and the service manager lady says I dont know what Im talking about with the throttle body job being unnessesary. So anyone know if 1) a throttle body job does not require removal of the throttle body and 2) if they have video servalence at that place.
