BTW I was told "march" for the new units. I would imagine they would also fix other little things (since they even have an About menu option that gives firmware/rom versions)... The AAI-NIS, yeah, gets power and all that via a harness adapter thing. I then used their wires (don't want to mess with Nissan's factory wires) to tap into for the Drive + Play.
