Hi there - I just got my car out of storage from my hometown - its been a while since Ive been in this thing. My filter looks like it was stored in a butthole, and cleaning probably isn't an option (maybe? --> it is about two years old, and hasn't been cleaned, although I have the K&N cleaning kit, just bought it).

Questions:

1) Should I possibly 'waste' part of my K&N cleaning kit for a new filter? I soaked it in soapy H2O for a few hours, scrubbed it with a toothbrush, and sprayed it with oil - but I didn't have the cleaner at the time.

2) If 'yes', then what filter should I go with? It is an Injen Intake, but their customer service basically told me to **** off and attempted to charge my card anyways (thank you Visa!), so if there is, in fact, a better one, why not?

3) Hydroguard - worth it or not.

4) Where to buy the parts from?
