Questions:
1) Should I possibly 'waste' part of my K&N cleaning kit for a new filter? I soaked it in soapy H2O for a few hours, scrubbed it with a toothbrush, and sprayed it with oil - but I didn't have the cleaner at the time.
2) If 'yes', then what filter should I go with? It is an Injen Intake, but their customer service basically told me to **** off and attempted to charge my card anyways (thank you Visa!), so if there is, in fact, a better one, why not?
3) Hydroguard - worth it or not.
4) Where to buy the parts from?
Thanks for you input - it will help me a lot.

Take off the down/cold pipe section... the one that goes down into the fender, this will convert the CAI into a WAI. No loss will be felt in hp while keeping it dry in rainy conditions. Keep the second shorter injen pipe and attach an Apex'i dry filter. The Apex'i dry filter is the best filter hands down and it only requires simple vacuum cleaning or air compressor to blow off dirt.
Berk uses such technology but since you already have most of the parts you could just buy the filter.
