I am looking to get some better grip and ride out of these tires. I have the nismo rims, and I have been using the same rubber that came on the stock rims on the nismo's. I have had the tires since they were on sale about two weeks ago, but have never rode on them yet. I do not have a license and will be getting it back in june. Should I have gone with the 245/40's or will I be fine with the 45's? I don't do too much rock crawling, so I don't need too much travel in the wheel wells. I'm just wondering what makes the tires rub if they rub at all? Cornering, or just massive potholes?
The guy at tirerack and I were talking about this when I was deciding on tires. He said they would ride better on a 45 than a 40, and I agreed with him. What do you think? The anticipation is making me tweak out here, only 16 more days till I'm pimpin again... If you could share your opinions on your tires, it would sooth my worries until 6-6-08 when I'm driving on them myself. Thanks
