if you count the stock tire size as either 205/65/16 or 215/60/16, the closest 225 tire to stock will be 225/60/16. I had those on my 16" wheels.
A 215/55-16 is too low of a profile to keep your speedometer accurate. I'm afraid the widest tire you can get away with on a 16x6.5" wheel is 225...therefore a 225/60/16 will be closest to stock overall diameter, and you can probably get away with a 225/55/16 if you really want to. I wouldn't go to 215/55/16's though; that's too far from stock.
