New to Nissan
I just bought a 1984 Nissan 720 with a Z24 under the hood.
The engine needed a rebuild (low compression, burning oil) so I pulled it and set it on the bench.
Now, the previous owner told me that it was not the original engine, so bare that in mind.
While inspecting the internals I ran into a slight issue... the main journals on the crank are considerably larger than the advertised 2.163"
My actual measurements are 2.3585".
Is there something I'm missing here?
I need to order a rebuild kit, but don't want to get the wrong parts.
Is there a way I can determine the origin of the block by the casting number?
The numbers on the block are Z24 126531
Thanks,
Dan
