Question for you guys who have worked at a resturant or know proper tipping ettiquite...
If you order a to-go order from a resturant and call in and place an order to pick-up, are you suppose to tip them? I don't mean you place a reserve in the resturant and you're dinning INSIDE the resturant but you're just picking up some food to-go.
I've been doing this alot for the past few years since
1. I don't like waiting in long lines to get a table to eat at a resturant.
2. I know I am hungry ATM so I like to order in advance so I can eat when I want to.
3. I don't have to sit and wait for someone to cook my food and bring it out to me.
4. You have to tip when eating inside a resturant with a waiter/waitress serving you.
When I do pay to pick up my to-go order and they go get my change I do tell them to "not worry about it and keep the change." But I do give the exact amount sometimes...
What's your take on this??
