i know my dad did this in our old car...and he doesnt do it in our altima now. it was like a habit kinda thing. Really i would only do that if its a super long light and i would pull up my handbrake just in case so if some one hits me i wont move much. but yea just dont gas right away...shift to D then wait a a few secs then gas
