I will second the General Altimax HP tires.

Way better in every way. I live in Northern Indiana and we have been getting a bit of snow here and these tires perform very well. I bought from the TireRack and the price is great. I live about 20 minutes from there main warehouse here in South Bend, IN and had them install them so no shipping was required. That's my 2 cents.
