new rotors need surfacing?

im gonna buy powerslot rotors real soon and i have heard that you need to surface new rotors before you put them on or else they will eat your pads. Is this true?

nope...just put them in a parts washer and put brake cleaner on them. dry and wipe down.

you will have to brake them in with some warmups and cool down laps. all the instructions come with the rotors, if not you can find the info in a search!

its simple... but best left to a pro...

there are bleed screws at the calipers, or you can disconnect them and refil...

problem is that when u pour in new fluid, it will have air and will need to properly bleed the system until is is 100% fluid...

handy to have anouther person to pump the brakes... and even another to pour the stuff down the resevoir... tis a bitch.. just pay a mech shop to do it.. prolly take em 1/2 hr !!

Swapping brake fluid is nasty business. If you leave some on your paint, hands, garage floor it'll eat the surface. So keep it clean.
