I got my first ding on my car. It's small, it looks like it's from some other car's door.
I got an estimate on it, the guy gave me some BS about having to paint the whole door over again and all that stuff. $325 for everything - bleh. So, I remember seeing this infomercial for the "Ding King" it's used for do it yourself ding removal for $30. I was wondering if anyone's ever used it, if so then does it actually work? I tried Youtubing it but the results just show the infomercial.
I would think that if anything the results would be temporary and the dings would just come back. But for $30, you don't have much to lose. There are some kits on ebay for $20.

dings are very hard to get to come back like stated above. especially in sheet metal. the ding king id imagine would be much better on urethane parts lie the fenders. you could always try taking the door panels off and punch the dent out with a mallet and something on the other side to keep the shape. i forgot what those other pieces are called.

too much work. I had a nasty ding in my rental car and the pdr guy had it popped in about 15 min and it you couldnt even tell where it was when he was finished. Only cost me $20 since I knew the guy. Hes also one of the best guys on the east coast. Theres alot that goes into knowing how to remove a dent from the inside out, its not something I would recommend that anyone try. Just my opinion though, to each their own. But you can be pretty sure if you plan on doing it yourself you will cause more damage then what was already done.
I would also use a PDR service. Just curious ankit but how is a ding going to "come back"?
I've seen dents fixed, only to return to the dented position in a couple of months. It has to be done right (not that i would know how to do it correctly).
There are various names for dent king but the dent guy I used a few years worked the metal and all my dents came out never to come back again. i dont know what prices you were quoted but I paid $100 for the first dent and $25 each dent up to 5 then $15 for the rest. Dents never came back and its very interesting to watch them work the metal.
He needs to paint the door after fixing a dent!! Dent Wizard will fix it without painting anything or any other place that uses paintless dent removal method like others said.

Not possible, must be a new dent. When you "remove" the dent you are cold working the metal back to the original position, there is no specific way to do this correctly. They may be one method better than the other, but the finished result usually depends on the skill of the operator.
