Oil filter location

I was wondering if any of you could help me out. I was going to do my mom a favor and change the oil on her 00 altima. I'm just wondering where the hell the oil filter is. I didn't really look that hard but i didn't notice it and the owners manual doesn't really tell you where it is.

On my car the oil filter is right there, very easy to change it. I don't even need a jack.

you might have better luck posting this in the general forum.

speaking of which, we need a moderator for this forum!

unless they really changed the ka24 design for gen 2 altys, the oil filter is on the back of the motor by the firewall. thats where the gen 1 filters are. have fun taking it off. by the way, make sure your car is cooled off, cause you have to be right by the exhaust pipe, and it can be too damn hot.

if you take the passenger side wheel off, you can see it if you find the right angle.
