clutch and throw out bearing

hey,
i have just put a new clutch in my 91 nissan sentra, but when i put the transaxle back in the clutch wont work and the pedal just goes right to the floor, i have had it in and out about 3 times now, the throw out bearing is staying in place and everything, but still the clutch wont work, when i put it in i didnt have the alignment tool so if the clutch is a littel off centered could that be the problem? or any other suggestions? thanks

its your clutch cable, buy a new one if you can't tighten it anymore

but really you SHOULD use an alignment tool next time! good luck

yea thats what i thought to, but when the transaxle is all in an i just pull on the lever that goes inside and pushes the throw out bearing it will go in all the way, but wont return, i have to pull it back by hand, and it doesnt take any effort to push it in or pull it out

sounds like the spring came off inside, sorry but you will probably have to pull it back out and make sure that spring is returning the lever back before you put it back on

should be cable.. is this a 1.6l or the 2.0l se-r? maybe some pictures might help.

if the spring is properly in place then it should be returning the fork lever..
