After purchasing my "1998 Nissan sentra gxe" I was curious and looked at the label in the door jam. It was produced in 11/1997. Does anyone know why it would be titled as 98 even though the manufacturing date was 11/1997? Thanks
It's the magic of model year vs manufacturing year. If you want to buy a 2017 car in January 2017, they have to make it in 2016...because nobody wants to buy a 2016 model in 2017 right?
Ah. It makes sense, but I would've imagined the title would have to have the correct info about the car. It just seemed off to me and I didn't know if it was common elsewhere. Thank you for your reply!
