No Pressure from the gas.

I have a 95 200sx brand new fuel pump and filter but a week later the gas hand just stop working. I notice this because I just filled up and thats when I smelled nothing but gas coming the vents. I cleaned the engine bay and checked connections all look ok and the smell has died out but still when I unscrew the gas cap I get no pressure release. Any ideas what it could be.
