ok.. i dont know mutch about codes.. but for the starting problem.. Have your buddy try turning the key / ignittion to the 'on' position.. waitign 3 - 4 seconds, then trying to crank the car. Ive got a 2003 Sentra and work with auto-tech's all day, though im not one myself. I had that 'whont start' problem a few times and asked them about it as i knew it wasnt the battery. And one of the tech's mentioned that some Nissan's were bad for haveing their fuel pump system 'deprime' when turned off... Meaning there wouldnt be any fuel in the lines after the car had been turned off for a few minuts.. all the fuel would backflow back into the tank, and that letting it sit at 'on' for a few seconds gives the pump time to re-prime the lines. Turning the key to 'on'.. counting to 3 or 4.. then cranking the car works every time for me.
