How do you reset the idle air control?

I have a 2001 Nissan Sentra GXE with the 1.8L. Long story short, it was throwing a code the dealer said required changing the mass air flow meter. Easy enough, didn't take very long, and things almost seem back to normal. I say almost because its still pretty jerky when accelerating from a stand still and the dealer had told me if this happened I needed to "reset the idle air control". I've been searching around on how to do this, but can't find anything. Can anyone here help me out?
