been searching everywhere with no luck. I have the rockford fosgate option with the 6 disc in dash cd changer and it will not play burned discs, i tried itunes audio cd (still mp3 format but normally works for most cars) mp3 cd (figured it was worth a shot) and converting mp3 to wma then burning with Windows, does it just not play burnt discs or?
also mods if this belongs in the audio/ice feel free to move it.
You're either using the wrong format for the audio or as the wrong type of CDs as Blubird suggested. Make sure that you use the standard CD-R not the RW. If your player does not have MP3 support it will not play those songs either.
Tried a few different cd's. I've also tried mp3, wma, and wav, any other suggestions? they are all CD-R only not rw, i think the two brands i've tried are maxwell and verbatim (sp?) any suggestions appreciated!

It works just fine when burned from a different computer, did some research turns out there was an update to Windows Vista that knocked out a whole bunch of dvd/rw drives, so its my pc not the radio, thats a relief...

Great, that was actually going to be my next suggestion!!! Now you just have to buy a brand new PC!!
I'm running vista and I had to use the restore point i'm on now to get my pc back up and running from a couple of months ago, this was an update I believe a year or so ago, I just hadn't needed to burn cds so I never noticed the problem, and I stated that 7 didn't fix anything because if I bought a new computer it will come with 7 and its a bigger memory hog than vista, which is sad really, the only way i'm getting a new laptop anytime soon is to go through some of the online vendors and pick up a laptop that comes with an XP Pro downgrade
or just build your own I honestly cant remember the last time i 'bought' a Computer from any company. Though befor ya take the drastic step of buying a new computer.. try replaceing the CD rom itself first?.. 30-50 bucks for a new DVD/CD RW drive is alot better than 1000-2000 for a new computer from dell or somewere (though the last computer i built only costed me 1300... and it can run any game currently out or being produced
But as others have said.. 'some' CD players in both Cars and Home entertainment systems will say they can play CD-R's.. BUT.. whont read the MP3 format (meaning, that while it WILL read a CD-R.. it HAS to be 'burned' as an Audio track, not as a 'file' format.) That small misconception causes alot of people to think that something that is working as intended, is broken, when its realy working fine.
