Battery light and brake light on

Hi,

I hope someone can help me here's my problem:
2 days ago got the battery light and brake light who turned on at the same time. I've made some research and found it may be my alternator. I changed it this morning. After I made a short road test to see if everything is fix. A second problem appeared, it wont start have to boost it even after I drove 10 mins and also on the idle if I stay on the same place i.e @ a red light, the car have problem to start like if there was a fire problem. So I changed my battery also. Good the car start and running like usual but my battery light and brake light are still on.

Can someone tell me what is causing that.

are the connections good at the new alternator? If so, check the cables to the alternator, make sure none are damaged. Its rare but if all that checks out then you may also have a defective alternator. If you keep driving/running it, and the alternator is still inop, then your going to kill that battery u just put in.

some part stores can test the alt. for you, can also look at belt tension and condition.

i personally had several problems with the terminal connector on the negative battery cable. wouldn't hurt to change both battery connectors out for something more solid.
