if you're not throwing any codes then yes it could be. If the vent hose is clogged then air cannot replace the gas when it is being used, causing a vacuum. Of course, there is a little more to the system with the evap lines and all that stuff, but in theory, yes, that could be the cause of the problem too. Many things could be causing a misfire though, so let us know what you find when you inspect your vent hose.
