Exclamation Needing a little advise

Hello everyone!
I own a 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8 SE, I recently had the check engine light come on, It only stayed on for 2 days and then turned back off but I brought it in to my mechanic anyways. They tested it and told me it was code P1138 and recomended I get a new Swirl control valve but it is on backorder for 3 months. My mechanic told me I souldnt have any problems driving it around just not to go on any long trips. I have been driving my car for about 2 weeks and then two days ago when I started it up in the morning it made a sort of squeaking sound and felt a little rough for about 3 minutes, then it seemed fine. I went to school this morning, heard nothing, it seemed ok, then I came home parked for about 5 hours and when I went to start up my car again it wouldnt start, It turns over but wont start. I tryed starting it about 7 times turning it over for about 2-3 seconds each time. No Luck, I just cant get it to start. I read up and I cant find anything that says this Swirl Valve will keep it from starting, maby im not looking good enough? Has anyone heard of this? I would love to get some feedback on what it may be before taking it back to the dealership and paying a fortune for them to tell me I still have to wait for this part. I kinda feel like I get taken advantage of because Im a girl so I would like to go in there with some ideas. Please help!

could not find that code in FSM, it might be one of those that sets off two codes, I got a program that emulates the consult-II (computer nissan uses to read your codes) so I'm not sure if you'll get both codes from a regular OBD-II scanner.

first thing is to call nissan and see if that code is covered under any kind of warranty. if they say no, then ask them how much it is to fix it, but don't take it in right away. if you can, get another person to scan the codes and see if two codes pop up, if so, post them and I'll look up the second one. this might be hard due to it is not starting, but if you ask around, someone might have their own scanner they can let you use.

does it crank like it always did? with no change in noise or struggling, and nothing that make it sound like it's choking out? if so, it might be the ECM is dead. this can be tested by a regular mech. but the expense might come out the same as if you took it to nissan.
