Sounds like a rattlesnake under the hood in my 03 Sentra Spec-V.
Muffler shop says i need new cats.
1300 bucks (for both cats an labor)

Don't need cats in CO, apparently. Thinking about installing my own headers. To save money on labor. Should i spring for the shop's experts? Im no mechanic, but I've got some skill.

I would really appreciate install instructions/tips/advice.

Car is stock except for a Nismo CAI.

on an 03, you defiantely want to remove the precat (in header). as far as installing, pretty striaght forward, only problem might come from rusted bolts. can always get a shop to adjust it if needed after you install.
