Oil Leaking into distributor
I've got the 'oil leaking into distributor' problem, and I would like to try and fix it myself. Just like forum member 'Lebowski' did.
I've got a 2001 Infiniti G20, and I know the distributor (Part #221007J401) interchanges with a 2001 Nissan. Trouble is, I don't know what kind of Nissan 'Lebowski' was working on. If his car's distributor matches mine, I will just order the seal described below.
From forum member 'Lebowski' April 2010 post:
"The hardest part was sourcing the oil seal: Nissan OE # B2131-01M00 (under $10 when I got it). Or Borg Warner # DG23 if you find someone to order it. I believe this fits all 1st Gen and possibly 2nd Gen (Nissan still sells it but apparently does not catalog it). I verified my old seal by size dimensions imprinted on top: 12.45 22 6 (ID x OD x H). To be clear, this is the distributor shaft seal inside the dist, not the housing seal outside the dist."
Can anyone offer a clue??
