re-badging the sentra.

so i want to do some badging work to the car. if i debadge the nissan emblem, ill have to cover it up with something else because it does have 2 pin holes for the badge alignment. so it got me looking at other stuff and i liked the transformers stuff so i looked up a few things.

ideas so far are, large deceptacon badge to replace front nissan logo, medium badge to replace the rear logo. debadge the sentra or plastidip it. probably leave the special edition badge cuz i think its something worth having there.

other idea is to leave the nissan logos where htey are and use 2 medium badges on the front fenders low and towards the front 2 doors. then have the punish and enslave stickers on the rear fenders just below the window line, but closer to the trunk. i have not decided on black or white, but am leaning towards black.

here are some links to the amazon badges i found. thoughts, suggestions?

i had seen the bolt on grill emblem on amazon as well but decided against it given the style grill i have and how it would fit on. ive ordered two medium emblems to stick on the sides on the fenders and the stickers to place on the rear quarter panels. ill post pics once installed.

heres a couple shots of the new badges on the sentra. smaller than i realized. placed them on the fenders as i said i would. kinda wishing i had gotten one for the back end. but o well.

still waiting on the "punish and enslave" sticker decals to come in so heres just the fender shots.

an image to show just how thin these aluminum badges were. stout for their thickness but i was expected something more 3 dimensional.

when i went out to move the car so i could wash it before the install, i found that after having parked it just fine this morning coming to work...the car wouldnt move more than a few inches forward before coming to an abrupt stop.

after looking in through the rim i noted something stuck in my caliper. i had to take the wheel off, and remove the caliper assembly and brake pads to remove this bolt, and fix the damage to the rattle plate the pads sit in all while the car sat on unstable rock and gravel parking area. glad i was able to dig a hole down to fit a jack stand underneath the car. i had maxed out the jack that i had available to me just to be able to fit the stand. its a good thing this all happened while i was at work though, or id have been pissed trying having to get a ride to work to get my tools to be able to fix this. or worse, have it towed.

heres a pic of the bolt i pulled out from between the rotor fins.sorry for the crappy quality.
