Smile Radio Screen/Dashboard Dead and Won't turn on

So this has happen a few times. I get in my car and the Radio won't turn on, the lights and other electronics are working. However the power button wont' turn the radio on, its dead. Only a few hours later after I get back in my car it will come back on, all the stations presets and clock reset. Now its been off for a whole day. I have a Nissan Sentra 2010 S, its the factory radio. Is this an electrical problem, warranty doesn't cover the radio from what I was told on the phone this morning. Should I get a custom radio? Advice needed thanks.

if u still have a warranty see if you can get it replaced. it could be something as simple as the ground not making contact. nissan is notorious for electrical problems. u can upgrade to aftermarket if u want but u want to know why the stock one is not working first.

^ sounds like a grounding issue with the oem head unit. Usually the wire is connected to a flimsy little bolt. When I had my aftermarket single din head unit put in, my local car audio shop said they had to go in further in the console cavity to find a better piece of metal to bolt the grounding wire to
