Removing 05 Altima rear deck, how?

How easy is it to remove the rear deck, and any tricks so I don't break anything

When buddy of mine got his 6x9 replaced, the installer told him the job was few hours and not easy. I wonder if this is the case?

I'm not using the rear deck speakers so I'm hoping to improve the bass a bit by removing them for the sub in the trunk.

Thanks for your inputs.

Remove the bottom rear seat, then the back part of the seat, then rip the sucker up

You mean just folding down the back seat? Is it really worth the hassle?

Thanks.

Ok so fold down the seat, remove the c - pillars, remove all the plastic pieces that are on the rear deck except for the grills then pull up on the entirecover, pop it off, then un-bolt the rear speakers.

It is a pain in the azz, I've done it once. I had the instruction sheet from Crutchfield to help me.

Nismos is a pro at it though.

nismo can do it in his sleep, he's done it so many times. The removal process isn't all that hard, although time consuming. People make it out to be harder than it really is to get your business, it's a fun process, good learning experience, i'd say search for a writeup of removing the rear seat and have a blast. Just take your time

I bought some tang band 6x9 subs for my rear deck about a month ago and I haven't put them in yet just becuase I dread having to take the rear deck apart. Plus, I've been lazy lately. And I don't know what I did with the crutchfield instruction sheet.
