How to install a stock BOSE Navigation?

Hello all,

I currently own a 2008 3.5SE Altima with premium package and I have a change to get a stock BOSE Navigation unit with CD charger. Does any one know how to install Navi unit and charger to a Altima with premium package?

Thanks

I think it should be relatively simple. You probably just need to change out the center console piece that has the head unit mounted to it. The hard part would be running the wiring and mounting the rear-view camera. I'd have to check the service manual when I get home, but I am fairly certain that the wiring harnesses for both systems are identical.

installing the boss navigation is really a pain. i bought this unit for 1000 bucks but still not able to do it. cauze of the wiring harness. you have to change a lot of stuff in order to do that. like u will have to change speakers put a new amp. and a lot of other stuff.
But good luck if u are really willing to do it. and lemme know how it goes.

You tried this in a 2.5S? Did you have the base Bose package to begin with? I know the non-bose system and the Bose systems (both with and without navigation) are completely different. However, I think going from a non-nav Bose system to a navigation Bose system should be significantly easier.

Where can I find the stock bose nav unit? I have bose and would just like to add the nav unit without going aftermarket and dealing with the bose on that end

Is that a joke 3300!!! For that price I can pay to rip my bose out and do top of the line everything. I though they would be 1k for the head unit alone, I dont need the disk changer just the indash with all the little nav stuff

The newer aftermarket nav units are Far superior to the factory navigation and significantly less money. With a good install they can look just like a factory setup.

As others have mentioned, this will get very expensive...is there any specific reason why you must have Bose and the factory set up? In regards to the warranty, you will only lose it for the related issue if items you install in the car (whether it be an intake, aftermarket HU, etc) is proven to cause whatever went wrong with your car....

either way you plan to go, good luck
