if you look at the pictures, one of the techs dynamatted the removable door molding panel...not the sheet metal as rjr suggested.

In perfect world all 3 panels should to be deadened - door's inner and outter panels (metal) and plastic trim cover which i belive is what u're talking about.
When it comes to plastic cover your installer should also add a layer of closed cell foam on top of dynamat to "separate" plastic from door's inner metal panel. It's not a "must" but always is a good idea, plus ccf is cheap and easy to work with which shouldn't bring the price up too much if any.

That should be the direct link to the album. If not, its the first album in his photos

As you can see in picture 15...the installer (who I may add is quite lanky) is sitting comfortably in the front seat.

Wait, is this really the final product???..... to be honest i was expecting a lot more fiberglass work to not have those corners....

How do you like it?

Not liking the look of that. I thought it was gonna be curved or slanted to match with the side trim, center console, and bottom of the glove box. But that looks like somebody chopped up a house speaker and put it in the footwell. And your carpet is cut out now, so no turning back now huh?. Like Vital said, I was expecting a lot more FG work. Honestly, are YO happy with this build? Have you sat in the passenger seat and seen how awkward it is to sit now?

wow, that is horrible.... is it velcro'd down too?

i've been thinking of putting one of these where the cubby is up front:
Tang Band W6-1139SI 6-1/2" Subwoofer 264-832

if there is enough space behind the cubby door, i might do it. if i do, i was going to put one of them in each rear door as well.

yes, this is the final product. sound-wise, love it! its ridiculous how nice it is having the sub in the car. also--almost no rattling inside the car...and even with the stereo up all the way--its not an obnoxious buzzing like you hear in other cars blaring a subwoofer.

currently living in albany, but parents live in massapequa and i am home at least twice a month. gf lives in manhattan.

i LIKED the projectors...however i will never use LIGHTWERKZ again. anybody interested, buyer beware. feel free to pm me to hear about my multiple issues. still wouldn't trade them for halogens tho lol

1- i also was expecting more fiberglass to match etc., but at the end of the day didn't feel like spending a boatload to have someone do it. while i have worked with fiberglass in the past, i don't have anytime to be messing around with building boxes etc.

2- i don't need you questioning my happiness on the build lol. i told him to cut the carpet. i have it saved so when i do take it out, it goes easily back and can be tucked underneath. with a new floormat on top, you can barely see where it was cut.

3- if you read any of my posts, you would see that i didn't care about losing some room in the front of the passengers seat.l do 50k miles a year in my car, 49.5k of them i'm by myself. i've never had people complain that it was there. all of them comment on an interesting idea, but nobody complaining.

velcroed down? that was sarcasm i hope? if not you're really quite an idiot lol. how do you expect velcro to hold down a box thats vibrating like a goddamn earthquake? and didn't you think that if by some chance velcro DID work, everyone would be using it in their trunk?

the box is built in securely being pinned in behind a piece on the floor and the front of the firewall. hard to explain, but look at the pics.

and your link doesn't work.

Very interesting install. It's been done in many ways in the past and a lot of good setups have come from competitor cars.
