Exclamation Lokey Nissan of Clearwater, FL - Stay Away!

I've had nothing but problems with these idiots since day 1. The dealers could care less about their customers.. Everyone else (Finance, Parts and Collison) seem like good people.

I've had to come back in 3 times to sign papers that should of been presented to me initially during purchase and/or mailed to me, signed and sent back.

I do not live within reasonable distance to this dealership and all the morons over there know this (50+miles). It seems like they just want to keep me an unhappy customer through everything.

The dealer offered me free tint before the purchase (way before any of the problems started off course) but I didn't feel like driving up there and dealing with them. Plus, I didn't want legal tint

So recently, I had my windows tinted through a bay area company called Nu Shine Window Tinting. They are GREAT people and did an amazing job! All computer cut tint and fast/quality worksmanship. $170 cash for 5% Limo - 727-549-TINT, Tell them Dan with the 07' Altima sent ya.

So, I'm waiting in the tint bay.. watching them tint my car and the lady calls me over to the driver side window and says "Take a look at these chips in your window".. I look at them and frown. They're are 3 chips on the inside driver window. So, I tell her tint the window anyways and I'll bring it back to the dealership tomorrow. She told me they would re-tint the window at no extra charge when I get it replaced.

Next day comes, I'm at the dealership signing more papers .. afterwards I head to the parts/repair department, they told me to go to collision.. So I head to collison, the guy there told me it's nothing but a $200ish part and go talk to the dealer who purchased the car from and get a "WEOWE". So, I head back to my dealer and he says "I'm going to get Joe Smoe to look at it".. I wait about 10 mins sitting on the curb for this guy to come out. He looks at it and says "Most likely your insurance will cover it, but I'll talk to my manager tomorrow and have him call you". Run Around Run Around Run Around!

I leave frusterated, I yell out the window at a few looking at a new car and tell them "Do not buy a car from this dealership".

Next day rolls by and I wait all day for his "manager" to call. Nothing.

Today, I made a call and asked for the General Manager. I just got done speaking with him and he said hes asked for the name of the person who dealt with me, what was the problem, etc. The GM told me he'd call me back later today or beginning of next week.

Bottom line... I'm pissed.

Sorry about your experiences, sounds sort of the dealership I got my 06' from. The sales department, customer relations, and service department are all run buy idiots. Only the people at the parts department and the cashiers were cool. I haven't met any of the mechanics so I can't say anything about that.

For those of you in Hawaii, its New City Nissan.....DO NOT buy a car there.

Make sure you take care of these guys on the Nissan new car survey. Its very hard to not be rational when you get a brand new car and hence forget to check everything at delivery. You must do this. Infact, if there are defects, don't even start negotiating on the car.

Ohh I definitely wrote them off on the new car survey but he problem is, that solely targets the salesperson that I personally delt with. The salesperson I negotiated with actually wasn't too bad. He was a newbie so I cut him some slack. But because the new car survey was bad, he was demoted. The surveys do nothing but screw over good employees....

It was also impossible to check out every defect and such before negotiating because when I took it for a test drive, the exterior was covered with in dirt and the interior was covered in plastic. They only made it presentable after you buy the car....which they didn't do a good job at anyways because I ended up taking my car back 3 times to get what was suppose to be done correctly when they delivered the car to me.

Your'e right about the surveys and problems at delivery. Dealers are good at pushing cars and lousy are aftermarket installs. Specialists outside that install tints for a living will beat a dealer anytime, just as Best Buy might beat them for a radio install.
