Gwinnett Place Nissan in Georgia, Capitol City Nissan in Georgia

Bought my first car there with my parents a few months ago, a 2005 Altima 3.5L SL. The salesperson who I dealt with was Eseynat Neway, she was tons of help. She even stayed far after hours to help me get insurance for the car (we wanted it that day).

All of the other salespeople there were incredibly friendly, while I was waiting for financing and other information to come in at the dealership, other salespeople went out of their way to congratulate me on my new car.

Now, after several scheduled services, the car still works like a charm and the employees I deal with there are always polite and willing to help, so I give Gwinnett Place Nissan a thumbs-up for great service.

On the other hand, Capitol City Nissan gets a thumbs-down. I had to get my car towed there (it was about a minute away from where my car stalled) and replace a dead battery. There were several issues with this. First, it took over two hours for the tow truck to come. Of course, this isn't Nissan's fault, and I received a follow-up call from them at the time the truck was SCHEDULED to come. The representative I talked to told me the truck was delayed, and she apologized profusely (very sincerely too) and said that she would note this in the towing company's folder. Either I was lucky enough to get a polite representative, or Nissan generally puts their reps through good training. Either way, kudos to Nissan for that.

But... the tow truck comes and tows my car to Capitol City Nissan after their mechanics have left for the day (5 pm on a Thursday). Again, not Nissan's fault, and I don't blame them for it. However, the service person I talked to at the service/repair counter was very rude, and basically I got the feeling that he wanted me out of there as soon as possible. Since the mechanics were gone, I had to leave my car there overnight, and sadly was not offered a rental car for the day (I don't know about the rules for receiving a rental car, but I asked whether I could get one for the day and received a flat "no"). I decided to ask for a routine maintenance too, because I was going to bring my car to Gwinnett Place on Saturday for the maintenance anyways.

Anyways, the next day the service counter guy did NOT call me to inform me of the car, so I had to call him (and it was a pain getting in touch with him, took several phone calls). Finally he told me that the battery was replaced, and that I could come in to receive my car. I got my car back, filled out all the necessary paperwork (the paperwork was given to me quickly by the sales counter, the people staffing that area were polite and knew what they were doing), and drive off after checking all that I thought was important.

There's always ANOTHER bad side, though. After a couple days, I used my windshield wiper fluid. Too bad Capitol City Nissan decided to drain it without replacing it. I didn't think too much of it then, and just bought some more fluid out of pocket since it wasn't expensive at all (I like to think I'm reasonable about most things). Then I put the fluid into my car... tried the wipers... didn't work. I was kinda confused, and after a little bit of prodding around I realized they disconnected my fluid reservoir connection to the spray mounts on the hood. They actually disconnected one of the rubber tubes, and hid it under some of the black plastic under the hood near the windshield. Why they couldn't just fit it back together, I don't know. I quickly fixed this problem, just snapped the tube back with the connector and it worked like a charm.

It wasn't a really irritating experience, but compared to what I saw at Gwinnett Place, Capitol City Nissan just left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, the carelessness in disconnecting the washer fluid could easily have been some other fluid, thus leading to a MASSIVE problem. I shudder to think what else could have been disconnected.

Sorry I have to give a thumbs down to gwinnett place nissan lol. I went there on my altima se-r search and they had like the last 3 new ones in gerogia period along with 1 in conyers. So I went in there to buy the ser and the mofos told me to make an offer and I pulled out my car quotes from about 5 different internet sites all saying 26 grand and around $27,000-$27,500 out the door. The peeps at gwinnett place nissan started laughing at me... So I left and continued my search. Some1 beat me to the ser in conyers so I was out of luck. After all the ser's in ga were sold out I decided to look at some 2006 altima se's. So a couple weeks later I went back to gpn and all the lay down buyers bought the 3 ser's so I asked about the altima 06' se. They showed me a base model with package 1, which was a sunroof, spoiler and dealer added tinted windows and bose system for 25k before taxes... I left once again and bought the car I have now from conyers which is an 06 se all options except navi for 23 otd... This car has heated leather seats, xm,sunroof, spoiler, sidesills, bose etc.
Sorry I gots to give gwinnett place nissan thumbs down.

Also after I bought my car , I went to gwinnett place nissan's part section for some ser tails and they told me 400 bucks. I left and I brung in a print out from there parts section online which had the ser tail listed at like $179. I showed it to them and they gave me the weirdest look I ever seen. Then the guy got on his pc and said it's gonna cost me alot to ship it and they out of stock. Then he tells me that I can only get this deal by ordering it online but that it's going to take a long time to get. So I left and ordered my tails from abc nissan. Sorry to rain on your parade, you got a good saleman or w/e and that's good but I didnt like gpn's games and price gouging. How can an alti with package1 cost more than an almost fully loaded alti?

Now onto Capitol City Nissan. I agree thumbs down man. I went to every nissan dealership in atl metro looking for the best price and this place didnt want my business. The Mobster wannabe manager wants me to pay $24k before tax on a basic 3.5 se with no upgraded options. The car didn't even have sidesills. Not to mention the car was dirty and looked like someone was living out of it. The manager then got about 6 of his salesmen to gang up on me telling me how great of a deal I was getting....I left and once again How can an alti with hardly any goodies cost more than an almost fully loaded alti?

Well I might have gotten lucky... although the price on-lot for my '05 3.5L SL was $21k... (SL so it's pretty much loaded). So 25k seems rather questionably on their part >.<

Also pay attention to when you buy cars! I went in September 30th, and my saleslady had to make one more sale to meet her quota. Basically a string of coincidences which led to her being happy and me getting a really nice car!

You gotta be educated when dealing with the stealerships. A guy over at nissan @ mall of georgia was trying to hustle me over the price of se-r tails. Then he tells me that there's a chance that the tails I order from another dealer(abc nissan) would be fake tails with a nissan logo on them. I got out of there quick.
