Gwinnett Place Nissan in Georgia, Capitol City Nissan in Georgia
Bought my first car there with my parents a few months ago, a 2005 Altima 3.5L SL. The salesperson who I dealt with was Eseynat Neway, she was tons of help. She even stayed far after hours to help me get insurance for the car (we wanted it that day).
All of the other salespeople there were incredibly friendly, while I was waiting for financing and other information to come in at the dealership, other salespeople went out of their way to congratulate me on my new car.
Now, after several scheduled services, the car still works like a charm and the employees I deal with there are always polite and willing to help, so I give Gwinnett Place Nissan a thumbs-up for great service.
On the other hand, Capitol City Nissan gets a thumbs-down. I had to get my car towed there (it was about a minute away from where my car stalled) and replace a dead battery. There were several issues with this. First, it took over two hours for the tow truck to come. Of course, this isn't Nissan's fault, and I received a follow-up call from them at the time the truck was SCHEDULED to come. The representative I talked to told me the truck was delayed, and she apologized profusely (very sincerely too) and said that she would note this in the towing company's folder. Either I was lucky enough to get a polite representative, or Nissan generally puts their reps through good training. Either way, kudos to Nissan for that.
But... the tow truck comes and tows my car to Capitol City Nissan after their mechanics have left for the day (5 pm on a Thursday). Again, not Nissan's fault, and I don't blame them for it. However, the service person I talked to at the service/repair counter was very rude, and basically I got the feeling that he wanted me out of there as soon as possible. Since the mechanics were gone, I had to leave my car there overnight, and sadly was not offered a rental car for the day (I don't know about the rules for receiving a rental car, but I asked whether I could get one for the day and received a flat "no"). I decided to ask for a routine maintenance too, because I was going to bring my car to Gwinnett Place on Saturday for the maintenance anyways.
Anyways, the next day the service counter guy did NOT call me to inform me of the car, so I had to call him (and it was a pain getting in touch with him, took several phone calls). Finally he told me that the battery was replaced, and that I could come in to receive my car. I got my car back, filled out all the necessary paperwork (the paperwork was given to me quickly by the sales counter, the people staffing that area were polite and knew what they were doing), and drive off after checking all that I thought was important.
There's always ANOTHER bad side, though. After a couple days, I used my windshield wiper fluid. Too bad Capitol City Nissan decided to drain it without replacing it. I didn't think too much of it then, and just bought some more fluid out of pocket since it wasn't expensive at all (I like to think I'm reasonable about most things). Then I put the fluid into my car... tried the wipers... didn't work. I was kinda confused, and after a little bit of prodding around I realized they disconnected my fluid reservoir connection to the spray mounts on the hood. They actually disconnected one of the rubber tubes, and hid it under some of the black plastic under the hood near the windshield. Why they couldn't just fit it back together, I don't know. I quickly fixed this problem, just snapped the tube back with the connector and it worked like a charm.
It wasn't a really irritating experience, but compared to what I saw at Gwinnett Place, Capitol City Nissan just left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, the carelessness in disconnecting the washer fluid could easily have been some other fluid, thus leading to a MASSIVE problem. I shudder to think what else could have been disconnected.
