New Nissan owner (Grand Strand Nissan, Myrtle Beach, SC)
Just graduated from college and saw that Nissan had the recent college grad program and I had been researching new cars for about a month so I figured I'd try them first. Made an appt on a Saturday with Victor and he was very helpful. We drove the Altima 2.5 first, but then he let me drive the new Coupe and it was great, but they didn't have the color coupe I wanted and I would rather have 4 doors. I went and test drove an Accord after that but eventually decided on the Altima.
I wanted the 3.5SE, black with black leather so they had to find one. They couldn't find one with leather in my price range, but there is a place down at the beach that can put leather in the car for $1k later on if I want it.
They found me what I wanted with the sport package and it was supposed to arrive on Thursday, but the car they went to get was already sold or something so they had to find another one, and they did and it had alumnium kickplates which I got for free since I had already signed the deal.
Got it on Friday morning and it looks absolutely great. I was surprised at how well their financing department did on my loan. I was originally going to use Capital One, since my credit isn't perfect but they were able to get me 7.4% interest instead of the 14% that Capital One wanted.
The only thing I didn't like was that they pulled my credit score and it was lower than what myfico.com says, which is the website that Nissan links to on their financial section. I showed them what my official FICO score was but they said it didn't matter since the bank only looks at the score they have, but I still got approved so oh well.
Just hit 1000 miles this morning (got the car on June 1 but drive 120 miles everyday going to work) so I'm gonna get the oil changed this Friday since the break in is almost over and see how well their service department treats me.
