lol
dude. if u got a cold air on alti w/ sentra cai, whats the secret so i dont have to hassle with extensions on my 2nd gen?
I got a 2001 niaasn altima with 179,655 miles and all i did was put NGK Iridium spark plugs the best plugs you can buy even better than NGK platium plugs. and put a K&N filter in and used 89 oction fuel and i get 26 mph in town and 33 mph on the hwy and i still get that with miles on there now. so if you are trying to get better than that go to NGK Spark plug, NGK Spark Plug wire, NGK Platinum Spark plug for High Performance and Racing. and get your plugs change out and save money. So Happy saving.. Peppershaker
I just received my BOMZ short ram air intake, now I was recently told I need an MAF adapter in order to install the intake properly. This is the kit i bought Bomz Racing Short Ram Intake 1993-1999 Nissan Altima
I have a 97 nissan Altima Special Edition, just wanna know if i need the MAF adapter or if everything pictured in the link is all I need to complete the install. And If anyone could link me or provide some instructions as how to install that would be much appreciated.

I'm looking for a cheap way to increase fuel economy, I know the way I drive the car can determine a lot but that is not the type of advice I'm looking for. What is the cheapest way I can increase mpg? I was thinking upgrading air intake, if anyone suggests this, please include a model and link or explain where I could get my hands on the suggested intake. Thanks
I'm glad you took my advice. I love my WAI. You will to!
I have an easier suggestion. I have a 2007 altima sedan. I was getting about 26 in the city and 33 on the hwy without the A/C on. A year later I found an oil additive called friction free 3000. I used a half bottle like the instructions said, and after my first tank of gas, I was getting 30mpg in the city thats with the A/c off. Now that its hot here in Arizona, I get 26mpg with the A/c on. I find the product very effective, and the car runs alot smoother. You can find more info on the friction free 300 here: vinniephan - Market America :: Built on Product. Powered by People.
stay touch up one tune ups, tire rotations, oil changes, carb cleaner, wai... less foot on the gas as well =] ha ha.. thts about cheapest easiest way too stay top notch with mpg imo
This year the tax return wasn't big enough for a short ram intake, but I did decide to pick up a K&N drop in filter and I have noticed a gain in MPG of about 2.5-3mpg. Not sure on the HP gains but acceleration is noticably smoother off the line in city traffic. With the recharger kit it was $66. My biggest gas saving mod? I drive like an old fart, lol :b
