Cheap Way To Increase MPG

I'm looking for a cheap way to increase fuel economy, I know the way I drive the car can determine a lot but that is not the type of advice I'm looking for. What is the cheapest way I can increase mpg? I was thinking upgrading air intake, if anyone suggests this, please include a model and link or explain where I could get my hands on the suggested intake. Thanks

your gonna need a MAFS adapter and you can literally just swap a cone of your choice on.
your gonna want NGK v-power platinums spark plugs, and ngk v-power wires. pretty much a good tune up and constant oil change and tire rotation is the best you can do... but you cant romp at all or else you wont see a change

^ and intake, exhaust, and throttle body spacer. Bomz is the cheapest WAI I've found. Here is the link for them. Bomz Racing Inc. - Nissan The rest can be found on eBay.

Now I am a complete newbie when it comes to cars, so my only question is with very little experience if i purchase the Bomz intake kit listed do you think I will have any issues installing? Will the kit come with instructions and will I need to hold onto any parts from the old system to use with the new intake?

the best mod for fuel economy is adjusting the nut behind the steering wheel (that would be you). Once you got that down, your fuel economy should increase quite a bit.

I installed mine with out any problems. It would be hard to **** it up. It is preety staight forward. Take off old, put on new, tighten down. But dont forget to clean your MAF. Checkout mine at My Altima :: Bomz WAI picture by robsnarr - Photobucket And I agree with ankit. Even though I myself have a lead foot

my foot is also lead too ha ha. on the on ramps i love ripping up the turf.
but badreligion, the bomz air intake is about ~$230 or so. remember that my intake setup is under $40... and gives you good enough performance and MPG increase.... also depending whos behind the wheel will make a difference like ankit said. if it were me. i would save my money and do my intake setup since you didnt mention performance just mpg increase. but if you would like tht performance feeling.. highly recommend bomz or injen.
also dont forget tune ups can save gas as well. and constant oil changes / tire rotations.

I bought mine for $60 from their site. And if he is going to increase milage the best thing to do is get rid of some of the stock crap Nissan puts on their cars. I get about 5-8 hp better with just my intake. A throttle body spacer adds another 5-8. Headers is another Increase 10-16 Horse Power and Torque. Lastly a catback is about 10, depending on who you get it from. All of them make big improvements on MPG. My question is, does he want performance that attributes to MPG gains or just better driving habits?

damnn dude only $60 for the short ram? niceeee. if i had none that. i woulda boughten that complete setup for the extra 20 bucks and had even less restriction.
i guess future plan is getting that intake and hadding extensions for a cold air intake plus a TB spacer. that should be rather satifying
