im running on the limits of the stock internals. im probably around 300hp or so right now.
ill be running a turbo auto here in a couple weeks when i make the swap. we will see then how long a turbo'd auto can make it. once its dead, then ill do a 5spd swap on that car.

5 hp is bull shit for the aftermarket exhaust.....run 2.5" straight mandrel bent and tell me you dont make 10-15 hp.......

and 03-04 cobra > chevy......sorry dude im a mustang fan....(mustangs are what got me into modifying car's....well a stage 3 roush specifically (made close to 450 to the wheel's ....then got rid of that for an 04 cobra i couldnt tell you what all is done to that i know it makes upwards of 500hp.....he doesnt race mustangs or anything anymore....he races viper's and the likes)

lol. youre picking a ford over a chevy?
theres not an n/a ford engine that can compete with an n/a chevy engine.
thats why ford force inducts them - just to keep up.
ls powered chevy over any ford product - any day of the week.

the KA24DE block can withstand 800 peak hp before the cylinder walls crack under pressure (this includes rwd versions). stock internals includine pistons, crank, and valves can withstand about 310 (for some time, daily driven under low boost conditions). there are many turbo'd KA's being daily driven with up to 350 (-/+) with stage 3 head parts and low comp pistons, and very few race purpose KA's with around 750 fully built.

the difference between the altima and 240sx (twin cam, the single cam in early 240 and stanzas was completely different) is that the rwd block has contours to fit the H-brace for rwd motormounts, and that the cams slightly differed. 240's have bigger lobes, and after 2000 the altima cams were upgraded slightly as well.

who are you telling to gtfo, noob?
its well known that the altima ka24de IS NOT handling the same power as the rwd version of it. with good tuning and internals, theyre STILL breaking under boost unlike the 240 ka. youre not teaching anybody a damn thing. go back to ka-t.org and see how many insane fwd ka's you see - bet you dont see that many, because they dont exist.

im not talking about chevys and fords on a nissan forum. and yes that information came from ka-t.org, those tests were on new blocks in the 80's not the 'has 160,000 miles but i rebuilt so it automatically goes back to zero' 240 engines, metal degrades over all that heat over so much time like that, so yeah you could blow at 300.

but yes i agree a 350TPI for the win

I am gonna say this once recently helped put a 383 in a 72 nova its running about 14 pounds. Haven't seen any ford close to keeping up.

And 240s have slightly different rods and piston squiters, same block, same name, but there are differences.

Haha you'll have to ban us both then. Old school Mopar is my favorite kind of American car.
